SEO Words – The Next Frontier

Part 1 – Last Year’s Frontier – Last year on April 26 of 2020 I wrote this . . . finding content on my Pinterest board is like a treasure hunt. You have to look; then hope you find it. My next big business project. . . adding in SEO words. I hope to make it easier for you to find the things you need.

This diagram shows exactly how I feel about them. When I started this post, I thought I understood Search Engine Optimization Words.

I used them with my debut book, NEIL ARMSTRONG’S WIND TUNNEL DREAM. Amazon does too. Here are a few of their SEO words. You can use them to search my reviews:

I thought SEO Words for Pinterest would be the same. Sort of yes. Sort of no. I discovered that I can put something SEO-ish in before posting my blogs on Weebly, but I want to know exactly what that looks like.

I also discovered that I can put SEO words directly into Pinterest, but I don’t know where. I feel like I’m in the deep end of the pool, but I forgot how to swim. I found a friend who’s going to explain a little more to me tomorrow. Fingers crossed! I’ll let you know in a couple of weeks if I learned the SEO stroke.

Part 2 – What I’ve learned – The Liebster pin was an old one. The second one about Zoe is the first one where I used SEO words. Brooke, my editor and publisher, explained them. Then I sent her this screenshot, and she said it was just right! Woohoo!

This is a blank pin. Follow along, and I’ll show you how to take a post, and put it into Pinterest as a pin WITH SEO Words.

Can you see the changes? I added a photo, the title, and the two Pinterest boards where you’ll find this post – Economics & Language Arts.

Two things changed from the last screenshot – I added the internet address below the ‘+.’ Then I picked a section from the Economic Board – Writing . . . and I clicked Publish.

I made another pin, with the same information, but I picked a new board – Language Arts. The section – My Posts about Writing.

Part 3 – Adding the Final Elements – Look at the screenshot for the word ‘BOARDS.’ It has a blue line under it. I’ll add two more parts for this pin– a summary and those SEO words. They’ll go in front of those BOARDS.

Here’s my summary – This post starts where I was in April of 2020. I was hoping to understand SEO Words. It took a year and a little help from my editor/publisher Brooke to figure them out. Follow me step by step as I put a pin together. I'll show you what I now understand about SEO words and how to use them. Think summaries and hashtags.

As for those pesky SEO words, I google them now. I look for words that fit my post, that are specific enough to help readers search and find me. I googled ‘hashtag seo,’ and I found #seotips and #seoservices. I think they fit.

I wanted to include something about Pinterest so I did another search, ‘hashtag pinterest.’ I found #pinterestsuccess and #pinterestideas.

I wanted something about personal history, but I didn’t see anything that really fit . . .  I let it go. Here’s the last and final screenshot. My pin is complete! WAHOO!

When I write, I can only have one voice in my head, mine.  A little noise is fine.  But too much, or worse yet, WORDS, and I must change rooms or pull out headphones.  Then I can write on!
