Armstrong: The Adventurous Journey of a Mouse to the Moon
Written and illustrated by Torben Kuhlmann

Grade level:  Preschool – 3

I loved this book!  It’s just beautiful!  And such a great story!  Our mouse hero loves everything about the moon.  At night he studies it through a telescope and discovers it’s made of stone.  He tries to tell his friends who know it’s made of cheese.  Our hero is discouraged but discovers an invitation to a famous museum.  He goes and meets fellow aviator, Lindbergh Mouse, who encourages him to follow his dream to be the first on the moon.  Read to find out how our hero does it.  My favorite part was when our mouse tries to catapult his way to the moon, and he catches the eyes of humans who look FBI or CIA agents.  Uh-oh!  I also loved the end papers that tell the human story of moon discoveries from Galileo to Neil Armstrong.  This is a great book!
