Grade level Preschool - 3

I love, love, LOVE Fandango Stew!  It’s the Tex-Mex version of Stone Soup, and it has all the voice and flavor of the southwest. The story follows two hungry cowboys who ride into Skinflint, only to be told by the sheriff to keep on riding. The boy and his grandfather grab everyone’s attention singing, “Chili’s good, so is barbecue, but nothing’s finer than fandango stew.”  Of course the townsfolk must try it for themselves.  They discover ordinary pinto beans stirred with generosity and kindness make a mighty-fine meal. “Hog-tie me with a noodle,” I hope you’ll check out this book.

Whenever I read or write, I find a comfy chair with a great view.  I get my favorite drink, stretch out, and let the words take me away.
