The Christmas Wish by Lori Evert
Ages:  3-7 years
Photographs by Per Breiehagen
Grade Level:  Preschool - 2

I’ve read 105 books since I started journaling my reads.  This   was  #36, or about 70 books ago.  But, I remembered #36, and it’s the perfect Christmas choice!  Lori and Per are a husband and wife team who took 4 years to write/photograph this book starring their daughter Anja.  Deciding to be Santa’s helper, she sets off to find him.  Animals along the way give her a helping hand/paw, plus a photo op.  The polar bear is my personal favorite.  Anja finds Santa, gets a bell, plus a goodbye kiss.   Waking up bell-less, she wonders if it was real, or a dream?  The last line (What do you think) lets you decide.  I hope you check out this book, even if you’re like me, way older than seven.  PS- If you liked The Christmas Wish, there are 3 other wish books to check out.

Whenever I read or write, I find a comfy chair with a great view.  I get my favorite drink, stretch out, and let the words take me away.
