Grade Level:  2-4

This book’s a perfect fit if you love dollhouses, history, and Christmas.  The 1st chapter’s a little slow, but get past it, and you’ll love this book.  Set in the Great Depression, two sisters move when their father loses his job.  Every day the girls walk home through the old neighborhood so they can visit the dollhouse.  Its furnishings always match the season! The girls make friends with its owner, old Miss Whitcomb. She dies Christmas Eve but leaves them something special in her will. Read to discover what it is, and how friendship and dollhouse magic can last forever.
