The Queen’s Hat
Written and illustrated by Steve Antony

Ages:  3 - 5

Grade level:  P – K

I’ve been wanting to write about my grandmother for a while.  This week I’m celebrating Rinda Hoskins Wilson, and a famous great grandmother, the Queen of England.  The trouble begins when the Queen’s hat blows away.  The Queen is famous for her hats so she, and the palace guard, chase it across London to places like the London Eye.  The hat finally lands in the sweetest place ever, Princess Charlotte’s baby carriage.  The end pages tell you about your trip across London.  Princess Charlotte turned two this year, and Steve has two new books, The Queen’s Present (2016) and The Queen’s Handbag (May 2017).  If you can’t visit London in person, read this book!

Whenever I read or write, I find a comfy chair with a great view.  I get my favorite drink, stretch out, and let the words take me away.
